Recruitment and online trust are, for many candidates, poles apart. We ALL know this in our industry, don't we? Too many recruiters (certainly NOT ALL) will say anything - even if it isn't true - just to get candidates interested in jobs and attend interviews. These recruiters are just plain idiots because the candidates will realise immediately at the interview they have been lied to, and probably had their time wasted. >>Another bad experience with a recruiter!!<<
But do these types of recruiters actually give a sh*t anyway? Probably not - if they throw enough brown stuff at a wall, some of it will stick, right?
I found the image below on the excellent Mindjumpers.com blog, and took the opportunity to make a few additions (in green), to highlight some of the things recruiters could do to help themselves build some online trust. As more and more recruiters enter the world of social recruiting, their online reputation will become very important to them.
