This week I attended the excellent Social Recruiting in Recruiting Conference at the British Library (great job @miketaylor). One of the speakers - a self confessed recruitment dinosaur - made sure we were all listening. He continually marched across the stage like a man possessed - but the thing is, he is possessed!! Not by the devil, as some people would say, but by the passion to get recruitment people to recruit properly.
For all of you on Twitter, you will no doubt have come across this ball of energy from Essex, but for those who have no idea who I am talking about, I am of course referring to Bill Boorman (@Billboorman)
Within his excellent 50 minute presentation (I thought you only had 30 minutes Bill?) there was a section I wanted to share with you. It was all about a bit of recruitment nostalgia - funny but very poignant.
Below is an audio clip from the presentation (so please excuse some of the laughing!), and if you are wondering how mad he really is, then just listen to this 3.5 minute section of Bill remembering what recruitment was all about.
If any of you want a full audio file from Bill's presentation, just email me and I will be happy to share a copy with you.
