Gordon Brown obviously thinks he is Merlin the Magician!
This is a part rant & part 'what the..!' Inevitably it is about Comrade Brown and his bunch of incompetents that make up our government (bet you can already guess I am not a fan!!)
Let me just quote what the Employment Minister - Tony McNulty - said very recently, "I am proud of the government's employment record". Well Tony, I am not sure what aspect of employment you deal with, but the levels of classified unemployed (and that is a doctored figure) is at an 11 year high, at 1.82 million!!
They have had to u-turn their decisions on Job Centre closures , and having decided not to close them, are having to recruit extra staff to deal with the high levels of people losing their jobs.
As well as our Employment Minister living on fantasy island, Comrade Brown now thinks that he is Merlin the Magician - on the recent Woolworths collapse, he said, ""The important thing is in the long-run that employees in this company - where the businesses and the shops are not going to stay open in the longer term - can get other jobs quickly. That's why we're going to move in immediately to give advice to employees in the company."
I didn't realise he could conjure up 30,000 jobs just like that! And when he says the 'royal we' does he mean the receivers, or the highly paid consultants?? I reckon that the 30,000 employees at Woolworths, now feel a whole lot better with the knowledge that Comrade Brown is 'personally' intervening!!
Do they inspire confidence? Do they make you believe that they create new opportunities to help get the country onto a better job footing? Are they doing all they can to help companies and their employees?
No, No and a capital NO!!
Sorry - feel better now for that!! Normal service will resume tomorrow!!!
